MEET THE OWNERS

After 25 years in the telecommunications industry I founded and established with the help of my beautiful wife Ruthanne and my good friends Todd and Jenn Kerbs, First Glass Window Cleaning Services LLC as a new start-up company in the summer of 2015.

Heres the back story:
In May of 2014 NoaNet, my previous employer, underwent a major restructuring and I was effectively laid off after 10 years service there. While searching for work I volunteered and learned of all things, to wash windows within a temporary partition of my wife's very successful company Maid Naturally.

During this time 3 things occurred: 1st the telecom industry, unless I was willing to relocate, effectively dried up before my eyes, 2nd and unbeknown to me, Todd had decided to retire after 25 years of service in the Washington State Patrol, and he was looking for work immediately. 3rd and most surprisingly to me, I really enjoyed the change of pace, scenery and just simply being out of the office. Todd and I got together shortly after to discuss options, and seeing that each of our situations were similar we decided to join forces.

Life prior as a telecommunications and customer service professional, I had the honor, due to some amazing "put others first" individuals in my life, to serve so many. I served as an operator, CSR, analyst, dispatcher, drafter, technician, trainer, and finally provisioning coordinator (which could be best described as a project manager and implementation engineer combined.) Working in these roles in conjunction with operations, engineering as well as sales and finance really helped equip me for this new business venture.

Receiving awards for outstanding operations startup and customer service, I have had my hand in thousands of tailored services delivered to my customers. I endeavor to translate this same success and passion to the window cleaning industry here in Spokane, WA.

With both our growing companies, and our wonderful friends and church family, we love it here and we are very rooted. We are more than ready to serve our community in this new endeavor.

My family and I have been in Spokane since 1998. After 25 years as a Trooper for the Washington State Patrol, I took my earliest opportunity to retire. I loved my work, but I was ready for a change. I enjoyed my time as part of the WSP, but I elected to try something different.

Along with my good friend Drew I was starting a new chapter in my life and together we decided to start a window cleaning service.

The motto for the WSP is " Service with humility" and I've always took that to heart. I prided myself on being a fair and equitable with everyone I encountered. Serving all as I would want to be treated and served. I believe that this motto not only applies to life, but to business as well. The truth is that of all the people I met in my 25 years as an officer, most of them were truly good people. Hard workers trying to do the right thing, take care of their families and pay the bills etc.. It was a pleasure to serve those people and I want to continue to do that with First Glass.

So why do windows, you ask? The answer seemed simple to me. See a need, fill a need. Service jobs aren't always the most popular and there aren't a lot of people who do windows. I think we can take that and do a great job serving the people of the Inland Northwest.

At First Glass we believe that we can give you the cleanest windows possible and in most cases restore the whole window to its original clarity. We have had great success with removing hard water, dirt, grime, overspray, stickers, adhesives, etc.. Let us help you see clearly what you've been missing and let the "light back in."
